Counter Records signee and multi-instrumentalist Daktyl starts 2018 in style with a brand new single, “Commit.” Taken from his forthcoming second EP “Riyazz” due out February 9th, “Commit” sees the London-born, LA-based artist in excellent form with this personal and stripped back track that features his own vocals and world instrumentation.

"I wrote the song when I was living in London in 2015. The second I played the chords on the piano I felt like I had to sing on it” explains Daktyl, “It was the first track I tried to sing on so it has a lot of processing on the vocals; I basically forgot about the song for a year until I was working in a studio in a cabin in Yosemite forest where I heard it again and decided to finish it…Out of all the songs I've ever released this one is probably the most personal.”

After an impressive 2017 that saw Daktyl release his EP The Act of Hesitation in June (which gained praise from the likes of Dancing Astronaut, Tiny Mix Tapes, Nest HQ and more), plus coming off tours with Bonobo, Petit Biscuit, TroyBoi, and Hotel Garuda - Daktyl followed by rounding out the year with his hypnotic single “Monochrome ft MOONZz.”

Paired alongside an early 2018 tour supporting Big Wild, we can be sure that ‘Commit’ is just the start of exciting things to come in 2018 from Daktyl.
